ARE YOU IN NEED OF A MEETING SPACE?

We can help with that…

We are excited to be working with the Rabbit Creek Church Huffman Community Center. As we refocus on ministry and educational events. We look forward to partnering with the community and assisting them.

Q
Q. What are you doing to help mitigate the COVID-19 crisis in our community?

A. Rabbit Creek Church is working diligently to protect our community and our body of faith in the current pandemic. We expect the same level of diligence from those who partner with us at Rabbit Creek Church Huffman Community Center. Please exercise best practices in all areas and follow current municipal and community mandates regarding mask use and occupancy numbers when utilizing the facility at Rabbit Creek Church Huffman Community Center.

Q. How do I book a room?

A. You may book a room at Rabbit Creek Church Huffman Community Center (RCCHCC) through our online booking form. Click on any of the links on the page, and you will be taken to the form, which will put you in contact with a staff member who will happily coordinate your reservation.

Q. When does my rental begin and end?

A. You may request when your reservation begins and ends. Please allow time for set up and teardown in your reserved time slot. We do our best to assure reasonable time and space between reservations but do not guarantee time not booked.

Q. What is included in my rental?

A. Your reservation includes the room, tables, chairs, as well as whiteboard and multimedia facilities. Other options are available upon request.

Q. When should I book my reservation?

A. The further ahead you can book your reservation, the more likely we can accommodate your request. We are happy to help you up to 48 hours before the date you desire. Our staff is available Monday through Friday to make bookings and answers questions.

Q. When is my payment due?

A. Our current payment system is based on suggested donations and not assigned costs. You may make your donation when it is convenient for you. But, we request you make it before the ending time in your reservation time slot.

Q. Can I cancel my reservation?

A. We request that if you cancel that you give as much notice as possible. We share our space with many members of the community. There will be no fine for cancellations but abuse may preclude future bookings.

Q. Will you set up tables and chairs for my event?

A. Currently, we do not have anyone available to set up tables and chairs for your event. Chair and tables are available for set up, and we request that you return the chairs and tables to the appropriate storage at the close of your event.

Q. Am I responsible to clean up after my event?

A. Yes, you are responsible for leaving the room in the clean state you found it in. Also, please take your garbage to the dumpster at the close of your event.

Q. Can I decorate the room for my event?

A. You are welcome to decorate the space for your event. Please avoid putting excessive holes in the walls, or using tape that might remove the paint from the walls. It is your responsibility to clean the room at the close of your event.

Q. What about alcohol?

A. No alcohol is allowed on the grounds of RCCHCC.

Q. Can I bring food to my event?

A. You may bring food to your event. Please clean up the food after the event, and follow municipal mandates related to COVID-19.

Q. Are there kitchen facilities available for my event?

A. We do not provide kitchen space for groups, and strongly request that actual cooking does not take place in the rooms.

Q. How can I determine if my event falls into Rabbit Creek Church Huffman Community Center's definition of ministry and educational space use?

A. Rabbit Creek Church chooses to offer our space to groups which serve to share the gospel of Christ with their community, and that operate with an orthodox Christian understanding of Jesus Christ.

We also host events for community education groups, though we require that these groups work with existing student populations within our community. At this point, we are not offering space for adult education groups within our community outside of a ministry context.

Q. Are the contributions that I make for space usage tax deductible?

A. While we cannot offer tax advice, it is our position that the donations you provide in return for space use is in fact being provided for a “rendered service.” It is our understanding that this donation would not qualify for a tax deduction.

Q. Is it possible to make a reservation for the entire facility?

A. Though it is unusual for us to agree to such a reservation, in the case of a strong ministry-minded purpose we are willing to consider such a reservation.

Q. How do you handle space sharing between groups?

A. With the exception of Rabbit Creek church groups, which hold precedence, we expect all of our community groups to share the space with kindness and respect. Because this is an old building it is often necessary for groups to pass from one room to another by going through the rear of a space reserved by another group. Should this be the case with your group, please travel quietly and respond graciously.
